The Floor Is Yours Although I would never pay over a thousand dollars for any such product, I have used this and can verify its cleaning ability. Since Aerus bought and has since sold the Electrolux name in recent years, the name could be misleading. There are products sold under the name Aerus/Electrolux. At the time of this review, this product is not rated by Consumer Reports and this model/body style has been in existence for several years.
The filter is placed in the top hole of the machine. It removes odors from the room. It is filled with charcoal as charcoal is an effective odor buster. The filter has the added attraction of reducing the noise when vacuuming.
The vacuum cleaner comes with several accoutrements. There is the vacuum cleaner body itself. The hose can be attached to the top hole for blowing out and can be used for outdoor work, such as leaf blowing. The hole in the very front of the machine is where the hose is inserted for sucking in. The latch on the top of the machine has a latch in the front for getting to the bag and another button for releasing the flap which shows where other accoutrements are stored. In this small space can be found a brush for cleaning electronic equipment; a propeller shaped attachment for deep cleaning furniture which can also have the blades drawn together for cleaning drapery and a crevice tool. The crevice tool works wonders on cleaning out slats in dusty vents and is ideal for cleaning corners, baseboards and even the lines where ceiling and wall meet.
This machine also comes with a piece called the sidekick, a small heart shaped piece which is used to clean stair cases and automobile seats. The final attachment is a scrubber brush for rug and floor cleaning. The results for the scrubber brush are somewhat disappointing and unreliable.
This is basically a good cleaning system, but I would never pay over a thousand and close to two thousand dollars for it. Although this is a big ticket item, it can cost over $3,000.00 in stores. You can do better shopping online where you can save hundreds of dollars. If you buy the Aerus-Electrolux Floor Pro Rug Shampooer from most dealers and sales people, count on paying between $650-$900.00 for it. You might also want to call Aerus-Electrolux for stores in your area and price shop, but expect to pay over $1,000.00. You can do even better with a Hoover or a Kenmore (Hoover owns Kenmore) for under $300.00. The Hoover and Kenmore products are much more efficient. So is the Rainbow.
*Update - the September 2005 and October 2006 issues of "Consumer Reports" do not rate this product highly except for the low noise, thanks to the filter. Their findings were the same - you will do better with a Hoover or a Kenmore at a much lower cost.
Highly recommended! Why would I get so excited about a toilet brush? Let me tell you this product really does the trick. The handle hangs on the side of the toilet until you are ready to attach one of the refill pads. It has the toilet cleaner imbedded in it. I thought it wouldn't handle a really grimy toilet, but there is so much cleaner embedded in the pad that it did the trick right away. I can't wait to go out and get one for my other bathroom. You are supposed to immediately throw the pad away, but I am keeping mine on and changing it once a week, so that I can use it for touch ups when the bowl gets soiled. Sounds gross, but it beats having a grimy toilet brush sitting by the toilet all the time.
Gorgeous set I love this set! I'm redoing my kitchen smallwares in a red and black theme, and these set of spatulas are amazing. The mitt and trivet still feel a bit odd, but they do block heat. I was a bit nervous trying them out at first, envisioning them becoming a molten mess in seconds, but that didn't happen and they work out great. I'm a bit of a purist, howver, so I'll be looking for red and/or black oven mitts in the "old-fashioned" variety to add to my collection. The spatuals all have wooden handles, which is a plus, especially if you cook using spatuals and have had the misfortune of laying it on the side of a pan and have it melt. All in all, a wonderful buy!
Good But Not Perfect This Is one of My favorite spray nozzles Its heavy for some reason It reminds Me of something that rich people would use. It will adjust to a heavy mist but the jet stream Is a little too wide for Intense cleaning also the pin kept falling back holding It open I just took the pin off. Also It will Not shut off with extreme high Water pressure unless You shut the Water off to It first a simple solution Is to use a brass shut off valve.
Changing Table Tray Kit Thought this is an independent table tray, with base and the 4 sides. However, it only comes with 4 wood pieces for the sides, there is no base. It is not worth $70.00. It must be purchased with the bureau. Description for the product is not clear. Very Disappointing.
